about us
Bognor Regis Bible Week is run by Christ for the Nations UK, (www.christforthenationsuk.org) a Bible Training Centre based at The Royal Norfolk Hotel in Bognor Regis. Local churches are also very active in setting up and running the Fringe Programme which takes place in the afternoons.
Christ for the Nations UK came into being as a result of a miracle.
Kevin and Pam Swadling, recently returned missionaries to Jamaica, wanted to acquire a run down 18th century workhouse in Midhurst, Sussex to house the Christian Bible Training Centre they believed God wanted them to start, but there was no money. Kevin appealed for donations and was amazed to receive a cheque for £10,000 after a church service. They were able to rent, and later buy, the building. This was indeed living by faith!
But what was to be taught and how?
God's plan was very simple but profound: teach students how to study and understand the Bible and help them to learn how to serve. That was 1994. Since then, around 100 full-time graduate students, now involved in all kinds of Christian service and employment worldwide, as well as hundreds of part-time students, have passed through the college. Today CFN owns a seaside hotel/conference centre in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, which doubles as the Christian Bible college.
